REKO bow screen for separation of solids from liquid. A bow screen can process a large amount of liquid and efficiently separate the solid fractions.

The technology works by the liquid flowing from the solid fractions through small slots in a sieve element.

A REKO bow screen works by feeding a liquid with solid fractions / raw materials into the top of the sieve. The liquid with the solid fractions runs down over a curved element with slits. After which the liquid flows through the slits and the solid fractions / raw materials flows to the bottom of the screen. The liquid collects on the inside of the screen and is passed on through an outlet. The solid fractions / raw materials spill over the edge and down into a collecting container or on to the next production stage.

A bow screen is a simple construction but with a significant efficiency. The crucial thing for bow screens to have an optimal effect is primarily to:

  • Adapting the slot opening to the product to be filtered
  • Considering the width and height of the screen must match the product and the amount of liquid to be separated

In addition, the equipment and the process can be optimized by installing a vibrator, integrated cleaning of the slots, etc.

It is possible and easy to disassemble one filter element and switch to another if different raw materials are used in production. And it is easy to replace the filter element if it gets damaged.

The equipment can be used in the production of food, and can be supplied with a declaration of conformity.
